Ann Wafer led us in exercises and discussion about how we in our busy and noisy lives still can connect with our Creator to find our joys and spiritual wholeness.  Listening to a bird sing or to crickets, finding a pretty rock or twig of sagebrush, picking a bouquet of wild flowers, enjoying the shelter of a tree, or watching the sunset as the world turns are ways we can step out of the noise and busyness to find peace  and love.  Suggested reading is An Altar in the World by Barbara Brown Taylor.

Could rounding up people because we fear them because of their national origin, ethnicity or religious beliefs happen today?  How did churches respond at the time?   How would we respond today should that happen?
